Turn an ordinary evening into a creative adventure at Robrik Foundry! Build a towering castle, invent a futuristic vehicle, create a colorful creature, or surprise yourself with something completely unexpected. Explore your ideas with LEGO® bricks and enjoy time creating together.
Creative Build Night is an open-ended LEGO® building experience where children and adults explore ideas, create original designs, and enjoy building alongside others. Everyone shares a collection of bricks and elements to turn their imagination into something they can see, touch, test, and improve.
Builders decide what they want to make and how to approach it. Someone might construct a house, design a vehicle, invent a creature, or recreate a favorite place. Someone else might connect a few interesting pieces and discover an idea along the way.
You don't need a finished picture in your mind. Start with a color you like, an interesting piece, or a simple shape—or try one of these prompts.
A cozy woodland cottage, an intergalactic research station, or a restaurant that serves imaginary food.
A vehicle that delivers supplies across a distant planet, or an invention only you could dream up.
Who lives there? What do they need? A creature might suddenly need wings—and a much bigger door.
Prompts offer inspiration while leaving plenty of room for your own interpretation. Unfinished experiments and designs that change direction are all part of the fun.
Build on your own, team up with a friend or family member, or add to a shared creation.
Creative Build Night is a chance for children to take ownership of an idea: choose what to build, decide what matters to them, and work through the steps to bring it to life.
A bridge might need stronger supports. A spaceship's wings need a way to attach. A neighborhood needs places to live and ways to get around. Each decision is a natural chance to practice planning, problem-solving, and persistence—and when something doesn't work, there's a reason to try another approach.
Kids can tell the story behind their creation, too: who lives in the castle, or how the invented machine works.
Adults are invited to build too. Explore your own project, try an unfamiliar design, or collaborate on something more ambitious—an architectural model, a small landscape, an abstract design, or something playful and unexpected.
For some it's a return to a favorite childhood activity; for others, the satisfaction of working with their hands. Coming with a child? Be their creative partner: ask questions, offer ideas, and help solve challenges while letting their choices guide the build.
“What could make this stronger?”
Spark imagination, practice problem-solving, build confidence, and connect with others.
The same collection of pieces can become many different creations. Builders imagine possibilities and make their own decisions.
A tower stands or falls. A connection holds or comes apart. Builders see what happened, consider a change, and test it themselves.
Seeing an idea take shape brings a real sense of accomplishment—from a finished model, a tricky connection solved, or a new technique.
Building with others creates reasons to explain, listen, negotiate, and share—and to combine different ideas into one creation.
Some ideas take several attempts. There's space to revise your work and enjoy finding a solution after a setback.
A shared building table is a natural place for conversation. Families create together, and builders connect through a common interest.
Give every builder the freedom to explore, the confidence to try, and the joy of creating together.
We want Creative Build Night to make creativity a regular, accessible part of community life: children who feel their ideas are worth exploring, adults who feel welcome in creative play, and families who get to work together and enjoy a shared experience.
An idea doesn't have to be fully planned before you begin. A first attempt can change. A mistake can provide useful information. Asking for help and trying again can be part of making something worthwhile.
You bring the imagination. We provide the bricks!
Fridays, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Robrik Foundry, 10761 Park Road, Suite A, Charlotte.
Creative Build Night is for children and adults. Come on your own, with a friend, or as a family—everyone is invited to build.
Not at all. Beginners and experienced builders are welcome. The first few connections are enough to begin, and experienced builders can challenge themselves with new techniques or subjects.
Just your imagination. We provide a shared collection of LEGO® bricks and elements. Bring an idea—or find one as you build.
Event building bricks remain at Robrik Foundry, so creations stay with us at the end of the night. Feel free to snap a photo of your build to remember it.
Reserve your spot online: choose your Friday, tell us how many adults and children are coming, and you’ll get a confirmation email. Questions? Call us at (252) 231-9621.
